To the right is NGC 6888 or Crescent Nebula, the bright star in the lower middle is 37 γ Cyg or Sadr.  Also visible are NGC 6910 and NGC 6914.

The lavender bush just flowered, and the hummingbirds seem to love it.

Also visible is M52 open cluster to the west and Dormouse cluster to the east at 11,400 light year distance.

Variable star 4 Cassiopeiae and supergiant 6 Cassiopeiae also shown.

We took the dogs to the beach to get out of the Seattle rain.  Ocean Shores is out on the Olympic Peninsula and weather was great.

Seattle city skies are Bortle 7 at best but this dual band filter cuts through the city light pollution.  

He spotted the rodent burrow in the garden and stopped to take a closer look.

The filter I want won't arrive before the annular eclipse, so I built my own.

Using my homemade filter for the William Optics Redcat 61.
